Africa is the mother of humanity. Our culture is characterized by family values and solidarity, built on a strong history and deep roots.
Africa is the home of plurality and responsible resilience.
AFRICAN GLOBAL HEALTH was born of the desire of African experts to come together and unite Africans around their health.
AGH is a non-profit, non-governmental organization, bringing together African experts keen to contribute to the continent’s development towards sovereign public health policies addressing the “health” canvas in all its organic, economic, social, educational, identity and cultural aspects; according to the continent’s specific realities.
We believe that the cultural and educational determinants of health must be at the heart of our approach, to ensure that health policies are adapted to the needs and realities of our communities.
The concept of “health for all and by all” stems from the analytical and resilient achievements of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our vision is that of a united Africa, where countries work hand in hand to guarantee the health sovereignty of our continent, using each other’s skills and resources in a common, mutually supportive development drive. Africa for Africa.
We are determined to work relentlessly to achieve our objectives, in collaboration with our partners and local governments, in order to move away from the concept of the patient-sick to the patient-citizen as a health actor in his community, his country, his continent.
We hope that many of you, experts, civil society players and responsible African citizens, will take up our cause.
